Bahia Fibre

Bahia Fibre
BAHIA FIBRE
A palm tree of Brazil which grows 30 to 40 feet in height. Fibres from the base of the leaves are cut off with a small axe by the natives and, after a rough cleaning, are tied into bundles and exported. They are used for brushmaking. The fibres are very rigid, uniform, and have a dark brown colour.
